Yellow Shell Moth



































We found this exquisitely marked yellow shell moth Camptogramma bilineata on the sand dunes at Warkworth on the Northumberland coast last week, where it probably breeds on lady's bedstraw.

  2. Hi Adrian, The pattern reminds me of the marbled paper that decorates the inside of the covers of some old books. There were even more flowers in bloom on the dunes last week, with pyramidal orchids in flower..
